Her only daughter Vibooshika (14 years of age) was also arrested with her but was released on 17.03.2014 in the Magistrate Court of Killinochchi. After prolonged detention by TID, Jeyakumary was produced in Court and was enlarged on bail on 10.03.2015 in Magistrate Court Colombo Case No: B/4002/08/2014. Having not heard of any case pending against her in the said Court, she duly surrendered in Magistrate Court Padaviya on 02.09.2015 and was enlarged on bail. However, she had to be in remand for 07 days until two surety signed the bond for her. It was discovered that the learned Magistrate had issued warrant on 10.06.2015 in the first instance without issuing summons or notice on her although police had moved only for summons by their B Report. Although Jeyakumary had been reporting to Killinochchi police each month, the police had failed to notify her about the existence of any case. The case was in regard to a mine-detector which had been stolen from the premises of Welioya Army Camp with which the CID tried attempt to implicate Jeyakumari.
